About Us

The Drivers' Rights Movement was founded in 2022 to help gig workers unite their voices to collectively fight for individual worker rights.

We are committed to ensuring platforms fulfill their obligations to independent contractors. As an independent worker, YOU are in charge of your work. You should have:

  1. Access to all the information you need to make informed business decisions.
  2. Freedom to use the platforms and tools you choose to run your business.
  3. Freedom to use multiple platforms to find work and accept work (and do so easily and safely).
  4. The choice to share your information and data with individuals and platforms that help your business.

Delivery and rideshare companies can’t have their cake and eat it too! If you are defined as an independent contractor, you should be treated as such.

Five years ago:
You could get deactivated from Uber if you had an 80% acceptance rate or lower.
This violated your rights as an independent contractor.
Drivers fought for legislation and Uber was forced to change.
Three years ago:
You could get deactivated from platforms if you ‘multi-apped’.
This violated your rights as an independent contractor.
Drivers fought for legislation and the platforms were forced to change.
This is only the beginning. There is more that needs to change in order for you to make the most of being independent!

We are in it with you
